What Is It?

Remote Deposit Capture is an easy, convenient way to deposit a check into your SEI Credit Union checking account! Simply snap a picture of the front and back of the check through the mobile app, verify the information, and send! Deposits made simple! Search “SEICU” in your App store!

The following are terms and conditions for SEI Credit Union Mobile Deposit Capture use:
Eligible items for deposit through Mobile Deposit Capture are “checks” as defined in Federal Reserve Regulation CC. You agree that the image of the check transmitted to us shall be deemed an “item” within the meaning of Article 4 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

Unacceptable items for deposit include:

• Foreign checks
• Travelers checks
• Third party checks
• A check from your SEI Credit Union account
• A check that shows evidence of alteration
• A check converted to a “substitute” check as defined by Reg CC
• Any item stale dated, expired, or postdated
• Any item that has been returned ‘NSF’ or any other reason
• Cash
• Savings bonds

We reserve the right to place a hold on any item deposited through Remote Deposit Capture. You will be notified of the hold. You agree to properly endorse the check on the back as it appears on the ‘Payable To’ line and the words FOR DEPOSIT ONLY SEI CREDIT UNION are required. You agree to never re-present a check for deposit. Securely store each check for 60 days and safely destroy after the 60 day time frame. You agree to promptly provide any retained check to us as requested to aid in the clearing process or any other issue that may arise. If you are unable to provide us with the check requested, you will be liable for any unresolved claims by third parties. You are solely responsible to verify that any items deposited using Mobile Deposit Capture have been received by us.
